Bring your bike, your family and your friends for a festival in the Canalway!
Choose from a 23-mile leisurely bicycle ride complete with a trip on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad or a 10-mile family friendly ride complete with a fun filled stop at Thornburg Station (including ice cream samples provided by Carvel).
Immediately following both rides, join us back at the Canalway Center (E. 49th Street just off I-77) for a festival including a fantastic BBQ lunch, giveaways and live entertainment. Riders also receive a goodie bag with a t-shirt, coupons, snacks and more.
All of this can be enjoyed for only $30 per person or $15 for children under 12.
This all-inclusive festival is the perfect way to spend some time with family and friends while enjoying our region's greatest asset, the Ohio & Erie Canalway.

Both rides begin at the Cleveland Metro Parks, Canalway Center

Legacy 23 Mile Ride
- 7:30am Check-in opens & bike tune ups available
- 8:00am Depart & cycle 5 mi to Thornburg Train Depot
- 9:00am Board Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad
- 10:00am Depart Peninsual and cycle 18 mi back to Canalway Center
- 12:30 - 2:00pm BBQ lunch with live music and give-a-ways at the Canalway Center
* Ride includes train fair and aid station with snack and beverages 12 miles north of Peninsula
Family Friendly 10 Mile Ride
- 10:00am Check-in opens & bike tune ups available
- 10:30am Depart & cycle 5 mi to Thornburg Station
- 11:00 - 11:30 Enjoy a fun filled break at Thornburg
- 11:30am Depart Thornburg and cycle 5 mi back to Canalway Center
- 12:30 - 2:00pm BBQ lunch with live music and give-a-ways at the Canalway Center
* Ride includes a stop with snack and beverage aid station at the 5 mile turnaround point, Thornburg Station. Kid friendly games and activities will also be available
